When the stronger conduit fittings are required, they are typically made of copper-free aluminum or cast iron. Other materials used for conduit fittings include aluminum, fiberglass, PVC, PVC coated aluminum or steel, nylon, polyester, urethane and regular or galvanized stainless steel.
